About

Marko

I grew up in Croatia and built my career in London. The route between the two was anything but a straight line.

I studied Computer Science in Zagreb, with an Erasmus semester at ICHEC in Brussels, before heading back for a Master’s in Business. Somewhere in there I helped build TimePrep, an iOS time-management app for CFA candidates - my first proper lesson in how much harder shipping is than planning. I also did business development and wrote for Netokracija (yes, the blogging started early), organised a few 400–500-person conferences, and helped get the Zagreb Entrepreneurship Incubator off the ground.

Then London, and Techstars. I joined as an Associate on the Winter 2014 programme, became Program Manager, and led the London cohorts from 2015 through 2019 - promoted to Director in early 2018. Five cohorts. Hundreds of founders. The best operational education from afar I could have asked for.

Now I’m COO at Memgraph, a devtool and infrastructure company. I joined on the pure-operations side - finance, legal, ops - as the company was building out its foundations. A year later I moved into go-to-market and revenue: coordinating Developer Experience, Marketing and Sales, and the interfaces between them, while driving the positioning and messaging to find the right use cases. A big part of that has been steering Memgraph strategically into the GraphRAG and AI Context domains whilst acknowledging the Graph Analytics roots. At its core, the work stayed the same throughout - building systems each new stage needed.

Away from work: drummer, Bayern Munich fan, husband, and father who is currently learning more about patience than any cohort ever did. I ski, and lately I’ve recaught the endurance bug.
